Have you registered for Study Mission? I sincerely hope so because there are only 10 spots left! From October 11-14, a delegation of Sacramento’s thought leaders will embark on a mission of discovery in one of our most prosperous California cities, San Diego. With its temperate climate, abundance of amenities, diverse population, lively downtown, and successful business community, the opportunities to learn from San Diego abound. The four-day program will take a deep dive into the things that drive their thriving economy and make San Diego a destination for tourism.

Study Mission delegates will tell you that the experiential learning opportunities, provocative dialogue, and fellowship with courageous regional thought leaders are the fuel that ignites our creativity here at home. Study Mission has inspired many regional collaborations to improve the lives of those individuals who live or work in the Capital Region including:

  • SACOG’s REGIONAL BLUEPRINT, a plan to build a connected region that includes transportation options for residents, affordable housing for the region’s growing population, and equitable investments to create and sustain a safe and healthy region
  • EMERGE SUMMIT, a young professional’s conference supporting young professionals and their growth in our region
  • SACRAMENTO REGION BRANDATHON, a regional organic effort to align and modernize the brand of the Capital Region
  • ALIGN CAPITAL REGION, a regional effort to align workforce and education leaders and elected officials to make a difference for people living in the Capital Region

This year’s content themes are bold and timely, ranging from the power of Inclusive Partnerships for Economic Advancement to Sustainable Solutions for Social Sector Challenges such as homelessness and the effects of the pandemic on the regional workforce. We will explore a successful office building to housing conversion and look at how the adaptive reuse of a retired Navy base created a hub for growth, innovation, arts, performance space, and inspiration. So, get yourself registered here. Only 10 seats remain available making the potential for sell-out a real possibility.
