Sacramento Metro Chamber Names Liz Williams as Director of Public Policy & External Affairs

SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce has announced Liz (Lorand) Williams as Director of Public Policy & External Affairs, effective May 6, 2024. Williams joins the Metro Chamber from Downtown Sacramento Partnership where she has worked as Policy Manager for the last three years. With extensive experience in public policy, advocacy, government relations, and strategic planning, Williams brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. 

“Liz is uniquely qualified to step into this important role at the Metro Chamber,” said Robert W. Heidt, Jr., President & CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber. “With a deep understanding of emerging regional issues, she is an articulate, proven and passionate leader focused on the importance of building partnerships, fostering community and civic engagement, and working to connect and uplift Sacramento’s nonprofit, private and public sectors.”

Williams has already been working closely with the Metro Chamber since 2018 in a variety of capacities. She has been involved with the Metro EDGE (young professionals) program for many years, was named as the Metro EDGE Young Professional of the Year in 2022, has served on the Metro EDGE Leadership Council (where she was instrumental in launching the new BoardLink program), and has been involved with the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber Political Action Committee (Metro-PAC) for over four years.
