Congratulations to Metro Chamber Foundation Executive Director Kyla Bryant for being recognized as a ‘40 Under 40by Sacramento Business Journal! This summer Kyla was also featured in Comstock’s ‘Young Professionals’ issue as a thriving millennial manager. We couldn’t be more excited to see her continually recognized in the region for her accomplishments.

Kyla’s leadership has brought tremendous momentum to our programs and initiatives. In the three years Kyla has been with our organization, she has left a trail of positive change through her effective leadership. Kyla started at the Chamber Foundation in July 2019 as a Program Coordinator for the small business technical assistance program.

Once the COVID-19 pandemic hit, Bryant’s role expanded exponentially to support businesses across the region. She was promoted to Associate Director in July 2021 and then to Director in January 2022, where she worked to aid our region in recovery through resources and direct business support. She helped craft the vision and design for the launch of the internal MetroBusiness Center in March 2022, which created more than $27 million in positive economic impact and supported 3,287 jobs in the first year alone.

Kyla launched Metro Strive – a program she created as part of her Master’s program Capstone project – in September 2022, which is aimed at developing and supporting female leadership across the region. In January 2023, Kyla was promoted to her current role as Foundation Executive Director.

As Executive Director, Kyla now oversees a staff of two full-time employees, seven business consultants for the MetroBusiness Center, and approximately 100 volunteer leaders who support MetroEdge, Inspired Giving, Leadership Sacramento, Thousand Strong, and Lemonade Day programs run by the Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation. Kyla also serves on the Sacramento Works Inc. board (appointed February 2023), with a mission to strengthen regional workforce development.

A dynamic leader, Kyla is truly a trailblazer. Thank you to both Sacramento Business Journal and Comstock for showcasing such a deserving individual who is positively impacting the greater Sacramento region and community.
