About Study Mission

• Study Mission is an immersive opportunity to join over a hundred of the region’s elected officials, community, and business leaders on a trip to learn and experience first-hand best practices in similar successful cities.
• The “mission” consists of behind-the-scenes tours, unique lectures, and an immersive pulling-back-of-the-curtain to understand how that city is economically and culturally thriving.
• The goal of Study Mission is to inspire action, investments, and policy decisions in our own community.
• This is an opportunity for young professionals to gain access and exposure to regional stakeholders—locally and nationally— benefitting professionally by meeting more people, establishing more relationships, and sharpening your civic-minded skills.
• The award is usually around $2,000, but changes on an annual basis dependent on applicants and program costs.
