The Sacramento Metro Chamber board of directors announced Tuesday that Amanda Blackwood will become the chamber’s new president and CEO effective May 1.
Blackwood will take over for Darrell Teat, the interim executive who has been leading the chamber since last year. Teat will return to his firm, Darrell Teat & Associates.
Blackwood is the owner and managing partner of OE Consulting Group, a women-owned and -run firm established in 2014. The company works with both for- and not-for-profit clients to provide strategic solutions for talent management and business processes.
Previously, Blackwood served as the chief development officer for Elevation Entertainment Group. The chamber said that Blackwood’s career spans both the private and nonprofit sectors, with a strong focus on financial management, including her past role as CFO for Folsom Asset Management Inc., during which time she oversaw $100 million in assets annually and 13 active companies.
She also has served on numerous regional boards, including as chairwoman of the Citrus Heights Chamber of Commerce board of directors.
