Darrell Teat to Lead Metro Chamber as Interim President and CEO following the Resignation of Current President and CEO Peter Tateishi

SACRAMENTO, CA – The Sacramento Metro Chamber Board of Directors announced today that Darrell Teat will lead the organization as the Interim President and CEO during the transition and search for a permanent President and CEO candidate. Darrell is currently President and CEO of Darrell Teat & Associates and formerly served as President of the Nehemiah Companies. He is a longtime, and engaged member of the Chamber, currently serving on the Executive Board of Directors. Incoming Metro Chamber 2018 Board Chair Chris Delfino released the following statement regarding the hiring and transition:

“Darrell is a proven champion for our region and a highly supportive and engaged member of the Chamber. His strong background working in the nonprofit sector and deep understanding of the unique needs and priorities of the business community will greatly benefit our members during this time of transition.

Darrell has held numerous leadership positions within the region and the Board of Directors of the Metro Chamber, and we are confident he will provide strategic direction, vision, continuity, and management of the personnel and the programs of the Chamber while we continue our search for a permanent President and CEO.

Darrell’s contract is short-term and he is not pursuing consideration for the permanent Metro Chamber President and CEO position. He will continue his work with Darrell Teat & Associates both during and following his tenure as interim CEO.”

Current President and CEO Peter Tateishi’s last day with the Metro chamber will be December 31, 2017.
