CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!
The Sacramento Inclusive Economic Development Collaborative (SacIEDC), in partnership with the Sacramento Metro Chamber, is hosting two business walks this month. Interested in volunteering? Please contact Laurie Eaton at leaton@metrochamber.org.
What is a Business Walk (and how can I help)?
A Business Walk is a half-day event where we canvass a specific Sacramento area. Our goal is to talk with as many business owners as possible about their needs and how the City of Sacramento and its partners can help them grow and prosper.
These walks serve as a great opportunity to engage and network with fellow Chamber members, as well as the community at-large.
There are two walks this month:
- The first is on Wednesday, February 19th from 10 AM until 3 PM. We’ll meet at the Stockton Boulevard Partnership Office (5657 Stockton Blvd).
- The second walk is on Monday, February 24th from 9 AM until 3 PM. This one will meet at the Florin Road Partnership Office (5501 66th Ave, #200).
How can you help: VOLUNTEER! Please contact Laurie Eaton at the Chamber.
What is SacIEDC?
The Sacramento Inclusive Economic Development Collaborative (SacIEDC) is a collective of Chambers of Commerce and Property and Business Improvement Districts (PBID), representing the minority business communities while focusing on the city’s more challenged geographical areas.
SacIEDC “gives a voice to the diverse business community by advocating for inclusive economic development in the Sacramento Region.” Its purpose is to advocate for, advance, and support the interests of small businesses in disadvantaged communities.
These business walks are a big step to helping accomplish that mission and purpose.
