Relles Florist was first located at 2220 J St, Sacramento and was started by Ross Relles Sr. October 19, 1946 with the support of his wife Margaret H. Relles.
Ross Relles Sr. passed in 1972 at 57 years old. Sons, Tom and Jim Relles then took over operations at the Florist. In 1975 sister JoAnn Relles Bradley joined the team.
In 1981 Relles Florist moved to the present and fourth location in Midtown Sacramento at 2400 J Street. Tom Relles retired in 2008 and the business continues to be run by Jim Relles, President, and JoAnn Relles Bradley, Secretary and Treasurer. Many family members have worked alongside them including Ross Sr.’s son Ross and Ron Relles.
The third generation of the Relles family, Jim’s daughter Alicia Relles and son Colby Relles also work in the business, as well as many valued long time employees who they consider family.
Relles Florist is very pleased to be doing business in Midtown and the greater Sacramento area for 70 years. Relles Florist has proudly been located on J Street for 70 years. We have a diverse staff that has incredible artistry and capability to design to many aesthetics and the varied need of our customers. We offer locally made art and gifts, confections, coffee, tea, and bath & beauty products by local artisans. We will continue to strive to offer the best of what Sacramento has to offer.
We have always sourced and supported local flower farms first and we pick the most interesting and quality flowers our local and international market has to offer.
We are a floriculture minded family, have several floriculture experts on staff and take great pride in sharing that knowledge with our customers. We offer Education classes and DIY events at least once a month.
We believe in supporting Sacramento have always invested in the community and charitable organizations that work to make it better. We love sharing the happiness flowers bring to people who may not have the means to purchase them. Each week we give flowers to our local Hart Senior Center and Wellspring Women’s Center for our community to enjoy and donate to hundreds of local organizations throughout the year.
President, Jim Relles has served on the Board of Directors of the Sacramento Rotary Club, President of California State Floral Association, President of Sacramento Host Lion’s Club, Board member at CSUS Alumni Association and belongs to many more business and cultural organizations.
