What if you could see a show at the new B Street Theatre in Sacramento, eat right next door and stay the night in a great hotel on the same block?

There’s been a buzz in the business community that prolific restaurateur Randy Paragary plans to turn the corner at L and 28th streets into a boutique-style hotel, putting his current Cafe Bernarndo and Monkey Bar into the bottom of the building.

The official announcement is expected to come Thursday.

FOX40 asked the president of the Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce for any hints about the project tied to a trusted, familiar name.

“I really can’t comment on those things tonight. But I think the news is going to be exciting because I think you’re going to see a continuation of what’s making Sacramento so great continue to expand and grow,” Peter Tateishi said.

Paragary, whose company owns nine area restaurants, didn’t respond to our request for comment Tuesday night.

The Sacramento Bee is reporting that plans for the hotel will be submitted to the city Wednesday.
