The purpose of the annual advocacy program is to meet with federal officials to champion a successful future for the region. Cap-to-Cap continues to drive steady and consistent advocacy that results in significant advances for business development, an inclusive economy, and a vibrant and connected region.
“It is with great pride that the Metro Chamber will lead the nation’s largest travel contingent to date to Washington D.C. to be a resounding voice of business for the Greater Sacramento region,” said Robert W. Heidt, Jr., President & CEO of the Sacramento Metro Chamber. “It’s a new day at the Chamber and we are thrilled to have so many diverse voices and widespread representation that includes all six of the counties served by the Chamber. We look forward to sharing incredible successes that will help shape our region for decades to come.”
Comprised of 13 policy teams that cover a wide range of topline issues, the Metro Chamber has identified three priority areas of public policy focus for 2024 that include the following: Strategic Investments in Infrastructure, Enhancing Regional Resilience and Sustainability, and Fostering an Innovative Economic Environment. Cap-to-Cap attendees will engage with policy experts focused on our region’s priorities and will have the opportunity to add thoughtful insight while helping to identify solutions that address the most pressing issues facing the greater Sacramento area.
”I am honored to serve as Chair for the 2024 Cap-to-Cap program and proud of the hard work that has been put into making this advocacy program successful,” said Andrea Clark, Partner at Downey Brand, LLP. “Ongoing changes and uncertainty in the economy and climate present challenges and opportunities for all sectors of our community, from water/flood infrastructure to health care and workforce education. And without question, we are more effective when we come together as one connected and committed region.”
A Metro Chamber Production, the 2024 Cap-to-Cap program is presented by Dignity Health and Western Health Advantage along with media sponsor Sutter Health, and is also supported by Golden 1 Credit Union, UC Davis & UC Davis Health, Kaiser Permanente, SMUD, and FOX40.
