This year we are heading to Toronto, Canada – the first international destination since 2009! We are currently working on finalizing details and can’t wait to share more soon. While you wait for registration to launch next week, please plan to join us and start getting your passports ready now.

Regular processing times for US Passports are currently taking 10 to 13 weeks not including mailing time. We suggest you expedite your application or renewal which is currently taking 7-9 weeks. Don’t forget to submit your renewal application by mail if your passport expires in September.

Here’s a helpful guide for applying for your passport for the first time:

Step 1: Complete and print your renewal or first-time application form.

Step 2: Be prepared to pay the application fee which can be calculated using the ‘fee calculator’.

Step 3: Bring proof of citizenship, including the original and a photocopy of the front and back of your document(s). You can find a list of acceptable documents here.

Step 4: Submit your application and documents at an Acceptance Facility. Appointment requirements vary by location. Search for a nearby location here.

Your congressperson may also be able to help you track your application.  You can find out who your representative is by clicking here.  Find Your Members in the U.S. Congress | Congress.gov | Library of Congress
