Chamber View: Calling All Young Professionals

Metro Foundation Avatar

There’s never been a better time to be a young professional in the Capital Region. Sacramento is in the midst of a renaissance, and this current generation of young professionals represents the fortunate few who stand to impact and benefit most from the city’s transformation. But creating a future unlike the past is going to take work – lots of work. It’s going to take responsibility to lead, to support generously, to participate fully. And it’s going to take collaboration. It’s up to our up-and-coming leaders to drive our communities into the next generation of prosperity. Will you join us?

Spearheaded by Metro EDGE, with support from the Sacramento Metro Chamber, the Emerge Summit is a collaborative effort of the 10 regional young professional programs.

Spearheaded by Metro EDGE, with support from the Sacramento Metro Chamber, the Emerge Summit is a collaborative effort of the 10 regional young professional programs. Happening March 18 at the Sacramento Memorial Auditorium, the Emerge Summit will bring together more than 600 of our region’s top young professionals and their mentors and advocates for breakout sessions focused on topics ranging from political advocacy and homelessness, to entrepreneurship and public art. Mainstage speakers Greta Gerwig (the Golden Globe-winning actress from Sacramento) and Jay Sales (VSP Global’s boundary-breaking innovation strategist), will anchor the day’s workshops.

So why should you attend or encourage your staff and colleagues to join? Because Emerge is different. While most conferences focus on the end, we focus on the now: the relationships, opportunities and possibilities available to changemakers at this very moment. This interactive event will provide opportunities for you, your employees, and your friends to engage in the community, develop critical business skills, and learn from the region’s most ambitious and driven professionals.

If March 18 doesn’t work for your team, we hope you’ll consider joining Metro EDGE for the other valuable programs planned for our 600+ members this year, including monthly networking mixers, professional development workshops, and volunteer opportunities. We are also encouraging and helping support a handful of young professionals to attend the Metro Chamber’s Capitol-to-Capitol and Study Mission programs, dedicated to advocating for and helping grow our region.
Join us today, and don’t miss out on the incredible opportunity to make the Capital Region an inspiring place to work and live.
