Emerge Summit Announces Exciting Line-Up of Speakers for Annual Young Professionals Conference at The Sofia on September 15

SACRAMENTO, CA – An exciting line-up of dynamic speakers has been announced for the upcoming Emerge Summit scheduled for Thursday, September 15, 2022 at The Sofia in Midtown Sacramento. Spearheaded by Metro EDGE, a program of the Sacramento Metro Chamber Foundation, Emerge Summit is the largest young professionals conference on the west coast. The keynote speaker for the 2022 event is Ryan Royster, co-founder & CEO of the culinary collective and brand activation agency, Last Supper Society. Celebrated for his collaborative spirit and cross-pollinating between disciplines, Royster extends his creative vision to projects ranging from content production, community-building, immersive culinary experiences, and social justice.

In addition to the keynote speaker, there are four compelling mainstage speakers confirmed for the special event who each represent a component of EDGE – Engage, Develop, Give, and Empower – and include the following:

  • Engage: Robynne Rose-Haymer — with 20+ years of experience in workforce development, program development and implementation with a focus on economic justice, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging
  • Develop: Rukayatu “Ruky” Tijani – founder, creator, and chief esquire officer of Firm for the Culture with a passion for the law, social impact, social entrepreneurship, and strategically scaling to create sustainable change
  • Give: Thien Ho – District Attorney Elect for the Sacramento County with an impressive history of successfully prosecuting sexual assault, gang, and homicide cases
  • Empower: Franceska Gamez – a local Sacramento muralist whose work is rooted in storytelling, community collaboration, history, advocacy, and hope

“We’re extremely proud of the diversity of this year’s Emerge Summit speaker line-up,” said Amanda Blackwood, President & CEO of the Sacramento Chamber of Commerce. “Our line-up reflects the uniqueness and multitude of talent that exists within the Greater Sacramento Region.”

The hybrid event is being held in-person and virtual and is an action-packed day-long collaborative effort of regional organizations committed to supporting young professionals and their growth in the community. Each year, hundreds of Sacramento’s emerging young professionals participate in the personal and professional development conference which includes inspirational speeches, educational breakout sessions, and coveted opportunities to network with peers.

The 2022 Emerge Summit is proudly presented by the UC Davis Graduate School of Management and is sponsored by Comstock’s Magazine, Raley’s, SAFE Credit Union, SMUD, Sutter Health, UC Davis Health, and Unleashing Leaders along with many other dedicated businesses and organizations.

Each Emerge Summit attendee will receive an experience swag bag with goodies from local businesses to use for networking opportunities.
