Have you met Jenna Abbott yet? We hired Ms. Abbott in May to serve as our Senior Vice President (SVP) of Strategic Initiatives. She has a long history of advocating for businesses in the region and she plans to do the same at Metro.
Ms. Abbott has served as Executive Director for the Mack Road Partnership, ReIMAGINE Mack Road Foundation, and The River District, championing initiatives to better these Sacramento neighborhoods for both businesses and residents. She was a key player in improving safety and vitality along Mack Road and supporting employment programs for individuals who have previously experienced homelessness.
As SVP of Strategic Initiatives, Ms. Abbott will engage the region’s business community and lead key programs like Study Mission. Each year, Metro’s Study Mission takes Metro members to another city to study initiatives and strategies that may be a fit for the Sacramento area. This year, Ms. Abbott will be leading our trip and gathering insights in San Diego.
And after Study Mission? Ms. Abbott will be strengthening other key Metro initiatives, all in the service of being a voice for our business community.
