Since1965, Kaiser Permanente has been improving the health of its members, communities, and businesses in the Greater Sacramento area.
Today, the organization’s 14,000-plus employees and nearly 1,700 physicians provide care to more than 820,000 members in medical centers in Roseville, Sacramento, and South Sacramento; and in nine medical offices across the region.
Kaiser Permanente continues to make significant investments to enhance care and service with its plans to expand to downtown Sacramento, where many of its members live and work. In 2016, the organization opened it’s a state-of-the-art Sports Medicine Center in the new Golden 1 Center. It also plans to open a new medical office building at 501 J Street in spring 2018, and a state-of-the-art hospital at the historic Sacramento Railyards by 2023.
Insuring 48 percent of the area’s commercial market, Kaiser Permanente is the health care provider many downtown businesses and those across the region depend on to keep their employees healthy. Through its workforce wellness programs, Kaiser Permanente offers a variety of tools that help businesses implement health programs that benefit individual employees, as well as their own bottom line.
Local leaders in the sports and entertainment industry are also benefiting from Kaiser Permanente’s medical expertise and focus on prevention.
For the past four NBA seasons, Kaiser Permanente physicians have served as team physicians for the Sacramento Kings. Organizers of the 2015 U.S. Senior Open Championship, the largest sporting event ever held in the region, also called on Kaiser Permanente to oversee medical care for golfers and fans alike. The Sacramento Ballet and the California Musical Theater have also depended on the organization’s sports medicine specialists to care for their performers.
Beyond helping its members, professional athletes, and businesses thrive, Kaiser Permanente also dedicates significant resources each year—both human and financial—toward improving the health of the communities it serves.
