The Sacramento Metro Chamber is pleased to support Initiative 23-0017A1, the Homelessness, Drug Addiction, and Theft Reduction Act. Presented by Californians for Safer Communities, this bipartisan ballot measure addresses rampant retail theft and the fentanyl crisis by offering targeted reforms to Prop 47.
The initiative includes provisions to hold repeat offenders accountable for the safety of our communities, classify fentanyl as a hard drug, and provide critical mental health and drug treatment services within our justice system. It’s time for meaningful reforms to ensure our communities are safe. Learn more, or read the full initiative.
