Policy Committees
The Metro Chamber’s committees are comprised of engaged members who bring invaluable industry-specific expertise to collectively advance regional priorities.
Our Policy Committees play a critical role in shaping the Metro Chamber’s policy agenda, setting strategic goals, and fostering meaningful cross-industry collaboration to advance business success. Their efforts drive progress and deliver solutions that promote business success and economic vitality across the region.
Through direct collaboration with key decision-makers at the local, state, and federal levels, the committees amplify business priorities and ensure that the issues that matter most to our region’ business community remain central in policy discussions. The committees operate under the Chamber’s Public Policy Council and are guided by a Declaration of Principles, which reflects the Chamber’s commitment to:
- Advancing regional prosperity
- Protecting business interest
- Facilitating public-private collaboration
- Enhancing regional competitiveness

Cap-to-Cap Program
Complementing the work of our Policy Committees, the Metro Chamber’s annual Capitol-to-Capitol (Cap-to-Cap) program brings hundreds of business and community leaders to Washington, D.C., each spring. Through this program, participants advocate for critical federal support, funding, and resources that benefit the region. Cap-to-Cap is driven by an extensive committee structure, empowering experts to champion regional priorities at the national level.
Together, the Metro Chamber’s Public Policy Committees and Cap-to-Cap Program engagement ensure alignment between business interests and public policy. This collaborative structure fosters meaningful progress, enabling businesses to grow, innovate, and thrive. Through these efforts, the Metro Chamber serves as a united voice, advancing solutions and creating opportunities that shape a stronger, more competitive regional economy.
