For the last 19 years, the Sacramento Metro Chamber has led a Study Mission delegation of elected, community and business leaders to a city that can provide unique insight and valuable learning opportunities to inform and inspire actions, investments and policy decisions in our own communities.
This year, we will visit Brooklyn, NY October 9-12. Once viewed as second-prize to Manhattan, Brooklyn has risen as New York’s most sought-after borough. With milestone policy decisions, catalytic rezoning ordinances and major investments in waterfront recreation, business development, urban farming, industrial revitalization, and innovative commercial development, Brooklyn will showcase how this highly dense urban community has emerged as one of the state’s most desired placed to work, live and visit.
There is much we can learn from Brooklyn’s rise and we hope you consider joining us to help shape the conversation and to translate what we learn into actionable outcomes for our own economic, social, cultural and environmental benefit.
