Lead, connect, give
This is the foundation Metro is built on.
The Metro Chamber Foundation invests in people by building talent pipelines, improving diversity in the workforce, and bringing new ideas and skills into the workplace.
Our programs help leaders and professionals foster community, embrace employees who lead, and encourage professionals and businesses to give back to the communities they call home.
Our programs
MetroBusiness Center is a suite of services designed to meet the demands of small to mid-size businesses, including help with business planning, financial assistance, business development, brand expansion, and lots more.
Metro EDGE is a young professional membership organization that engages a diverse network, helps members develop critical business skills, gives back to the community, and empowers leadership. Members come from business, public, and nonprofit sectors with diverse backgrounds and education levels.
Leadership Sacramento is our year-long interactive program that provides a behind-the-scenes view of the issues that impact the region’s economy. Leadership Sacramento is available to a select group of participants chosen through a competitive application process, hosting monthly day-long sessions and culminating in the completion of a community betterment project.
Inspire Giving is an endowment fund administered by the Sacramento Region Community Foundation and guided by the Metro Chamber Foundation. Individuals contribute to Inspire Giving to be able to collectively give a donation larger than they could give on their own. Every year Inspire Giving provides a $10,000 grant and in-kind services to a local nonprofit.
Thousand Strong is operated in partnership with Mayor Steinberg’s office, and boosts Sacramento’s economic prosperity by collaborating with local businesses to create a pool of skilled, experienced young talent through paid youth employment. The year-long program serves urban public high school students between the ages of 16-18.

River City Food Bank
It was the countless hours and donations from the men and women of the Foundation that made it all possible. We now have a food bank that is a wonderful facility for the entire community of Sacramento, and I can’t say thank you enough.

Uptown Studios
We’ve had a participant in each year of Leadership Sacramento since 2012. The benefits my employees gain from the experience far outweighs the investment, and building those new relationships help position Uptown Studios as a leader in our community.
