Advocacy
Advocacy Agenda. Drives Business.
Our Advocacy team proactively monitors and evaluates key initiatives, policies, and measures at the local, state, and federal levels that impact business across our region.
As the leading advocate for business and economic growth in California’s Capital Region since 1895, the Metro Chamber represents the interests of business across six counties—El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo, and Yuba. We amplify the collective voice of the business community to drive progress that ensures businesses are well positioned to grow and succeed.
Leading with a collective voice means uniting members around shared goals. Our public policy work advances a pro-business economic development agenda and is critical for fostering a vibrant quality of place, attracting and retaining top talent, and impacting our region’s competitiveness. Our Advocacy team plays a vital role in policy development, policy execution, strategic growth initiatives, political activities, and mobilizing member businesses from across the region.
Through our Policy Committees, Metro PAC, and signature programs like Capitol-to-Capitol and Study Mission, we forge strong partnerships between business leaders and policymakers and keep business priorities central in key decisions that shape our region’s future.
