With an undergraduate degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and an MBA from University of Phoenix, Kerrie has catapulted from interior designer to lifestyle expert, writing monthly articles for national outlets like Home Depot and Zillow as well as local publications like Style Magazine and Inside Publications. Kerrie Kelly Design Lab’s team has been featured in ELLE Decor, Yahoo!, Traditional Home, Real Simple, and more. Currently, the team has a tile line, rug collection, and solid surface countertop under their name, with products like dishware, home accessories, fabrics, and lighting in the design pipeline. The team’s tagline, Everyone Deserves Great Design™ rings true, especially when it comes to their award-nominated blogging and social media. Their social channels like Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest give homeowners tips and tricks on accomplishing similar looks in their own spaces, behind the scenes snaps of current projects, and sneak peeks into the wonderful worlds of design and product development.
Over the past two years, the design and media team at Kerrie Kelly Design Lab launched an online furniture, lighting, and accessories brand. Aptly named 42nd Street for their ties to East Sacramento, the brand is a resource to designers on a national scale, allowing for customization of various design elements on dressers, desks, bar cabinets, and much more. The brand has also flourished into a way for the team to celebrate their favorite industry partners and fellow designers. The Tastemaker program spotlights interior designers wanting to delve into product development by designing and manufacturing a unique piece of furniture under the 42nd Street umbrella and then launching it at one of the design world’s most notable design conferences, High Point Market. The recently launched Style Expert program calls social media mavens, designers, and bloggers to the forefront, letting industry professionals spot trends and give design insight using the 42nd Street social media and blog as their platform.
Noticing a gap in the industry for social media and marketing, the Kerrie Kelly Companies’ third brand was born. Loft Media Group is an in-house media firm specializing in the interior design and home product development industry. A long-time passion of Kerrie Kelly and her media team, the firm was created to assist designers and brands navigating the digital age with a special focus on editorial content and social media.
The team’s headquarters in East Sacramento provides the type of creative environment the firm needs, with a retail space at the front for visitors to pick up their favorite ‘I Heart East Sac’ essentials and accessories, conference rooms for design presentations, an airy open floor plan for collaboration, and a lofted space for the media and marketing squad.
