About

Through Metro PAC, the Metro Chamber invests in a political strategy that helps elect candidates who are business-friendly and have a vision for making the region prosper. During each election cycle, Metro PAC spends hundreds of hours vetting dozens of candidates running for local, state, and federal offices in the six-county region of El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, Yolo and Yuba counties.

Metro PAC was established in 1985 by the Metro Chamber Board of Directors which believed that for the Metro Chamber to be an effective advocate on behalf of the Sacramento region's business community, it must employ the full spectrum of public affairs, including endorsing and helping elect candidates for public office who support the chamber's mission of fostering regional economic prosperity.

To contribute to any of the Metro PAC's committees, fax back a completed Metro PAC Contributions Form to 916-443-2672 or contact Michael Faust at 916-552-6800 for more information.

Metro PAC is an independent political action committee registered with the California Secretary of State, sponsored by the Sacramento Metro Chamber and governed by an 18- member board of directors. The Metro PAC board guides the committee’s strategic objectives, helps raise funds for the Metro PAC and three independent expenditure committees, conducts candidate interviews before each election cycle and authorizes campaign contributions to support local and state legislative candidates throughout the six county region.

Metro PAC is authorized to endorse and financially support candidates for local and state legislative office as well as public initiatives. Metro PAC is not a federal PAC.
