METRO PULSE IS THE
INTERNATIONAL-AWARD WINNING REGIONAL BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION program designed to provide local businesses with the information and resources to grow and succeed.
This community-based program brings together economic development agencies and companies throughout the region. Together they help companies identify barriers and then seek solutions for the survival and growth of local business and sustainability and expansion of the region 's economy.

three years, Metro Pulse has conducted nearly 5,000
business visits and business walks where economic
development and business officials meet directly
with owners and managers of retail, commercial,

a powerful online tool designed to find the best job
candidates and assist job seekers in searching for
the right job.
Metro Pulse Reports

Metro Pulse partners visited 4,200 businesses in
2010. What was discovered and actions taken to
support job and business growth in the region can be

First Quarter 2011
Report
Business walks conducted in the first quarter of
2011 visited nearly 700 businesses. Nearly 75 percent
reported business as being in a range of "steady to

Business Walks
Annual Business Walks that occur regionwide are part of Metro Pulse. During the Business Walks, businesses in selected districts are visited and asked three questions: How's business, what do you like about doing business here and how can conditions be improved.
