File by E-SDR |
E-SDR
is designed for business owners that typically have a single or small
number of business locations in California. This allows businesses to file
the annual Business Property Statement (571-L) electronically verses
manually. E-SDR and SDR were developed by a consortium of California
Assessors to increase efficiency.
The first year it is filed, the filer will expend the same amount of time
to input cost data, however, they will save mailing costs. In subsequent
years, the filer will only need to input the changes, saving time and
mailing costs. The Assessor’s office will become more efficient since it
will eliminate the need for hard copies to be mailed and facilitate
electronic data entry and processing.
Who Uses E-SDR?
Taxpayers that have fewer than ten locations within California whereby
filing single property statements for each location is efficient.
